The towering 6-foot-5, 315-pound guard has announced his intention to leave Ann Arbor and pursue his lifelong dream of playing in the National Football League, bringing pride not only to the Wolverine program but to the Assyrian community across the United States and worldwide. El-Hadi is of Assyrian and Lebanese heritage, hailing from Sterling Heights where a large population of Assyrians from the Chaldean Catholic Church reside.

A graduate student and veteran presence on Michigan’s offensive line, El-Hadi . developed into one of the Wolverines most reliable interior linemen, earning four varsity letters (2021–2024) while appearing in 51 games, including 43 on the offensive line with 24 career starts. He was part of Michigan’s Joe Moore Award-winning offensive line in 2022, received multiple All-Big Ten selections, and was named a co-recipient of the Dierdorf-Hutchinson Award, awarded annually to the Wolverines’ top offensive lineman. In the 2024 season, El-Hadi started all 13 games at right guard, anchoring an offensive unit that ranked among the nation’s best.

If selected in the draft or signed as an undrafted free agent, he would become only the second Assyrian player to reach the NFL, following in the footsteps of former standout guard and linebacker Alex Agase, a College Football Hall of Famer and former coach at the Michigan Wolverines.

A former four-star recruit and Under Armour All-American, El-Hadi enters the 2026 NFL Draft with a resume defined by durability, high-level competition, and championship experience.
